Questions, Answered
The short version of how ordering works. Anything store-specific, ask the seller — every order has a chat.
What is plug.delivery?
It's the platform the store you're ordering from runs on. Each store is independently owned — you're buying directly from them, not from a marketplace. plug.delivery provides the storefront, checkout, ordering, and delivery tools behind the scenes.
How do I pay?
It depends on what the store turns on, and you'll see the exact options at checkout. Most stores offer cash on delivery (or cash at pickup) and digital payment — card, or private e-pay like Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, PayPal, or crypto. Digital payments go straight to the store; plug.delivery never holds your money.
Is paying safe?
Yes. Digital payments are processed directly between you and the store's payment method — plug.delivery is never in the middle of the money, and we don't store your card or payment details on file. For cash, you simply pay the driver at the door or the store at pickup.
Can I track my order?
Yes. The moment you order, you get a live status page that updates as the store confirms, prepares, and completes your order. For deliveries, once a driver is on the way you'll see them move on a map in real time — your delivery address only. The store's own location is never shown to you on the map.
Delivery or pickup?
Whatever the store offers — you'll see the choices at checkout. For delivery, you'll see the delivery area and any fee before you pay. For pickup, you choose it at checkout and the exact pickup address is revealed to you then and on your confirmation. Some stores schedule fulfillment for their next open hours if you order while they're closed; the checkout will tell you if so.
Will I be notified about my order?
You'll get email updates as your order moves through each step. If you add the store to your home screen (it installs like an app), you can also get push notifications for status changes — handy for delivery and pickup alerts.
Can I change or cancel an order?
That's up to the store. The fastest path is to message them right away from your order page (see below) — they can adjust, cancel, or refund on their end before it goes out.
How do I reach the seller?
Every order has a private message thread straight to the store. Open your order and send a note — they get it instantly, and you'll see their reply there. Some stores also list a phone or chat channel on their storefront.
How do I reorder?
Open a past order (or your account) and tap Reorder — it refills your cart and your details so you can check out in a couple of taps. Items that are out of stock or no longer offered are simply skipped.
Do I need an account?
Usually not — most stores let you check out as a guest with just your contact and delivery details. Some stores require you to sign in (a quick email code, no password to remember), ask for a store password, or limit access to approved customers. If so, the storefront tells you up front.
Why is this store asking for a password or sign-in?
Some stores choose to keep their storefront private — open only to people with a password, signed-in customers, or an approved list. It's the store's setting, not a plugin you did anything wrong on. If you need access, reach out to the store directly.
Why am I being asked to confirm my age?
Some stores set a minimum age to browse, so you'll see a one-time age check. Confirming just sets a cookie on your device so you're not asked again on that store.
How do tips work?
If a store enables tipping, you'll see a tip option at checkout for delivery orders. Tips go to the driver. You can also tip in cash at the door — both reach the driver.
How do refunds work?
Refunds and store credit are handled by the store directly — plug.delivery doesn't hold the funds. If something's not right, message the store from your order page and they can issue a refund or store credit. Store credit, if offered, is applied automatically the next time you check out there.
Is my information private?
Stores receive only what they need to fulfill your order — your contact details, your order, and (for delivery) your address. plug.delivery doesn't sell your data, doesn't show it to advertisers, and never holds your payments. Each store only sees its own customers, not your activity at other stores.
